POS and stock software for pharmacies and chemists

In a pharmacy, what is on the shelf and when it expires matters as much as what it sells for. UbiquePOS ties the till to the stock list, so every sale updates your count and anything close to expiry is flagged before it becomes a loss.

Expiry dates that raise their own alerts

Record an expiry date on a product and UbiquePOS alerts you as it approaches, so you can sell it first, move it to another branch or mark it down while it still has value. Goods that do expire can be written off with that reason, separate from theft or damage, so you see what expiry really costs you.

Never run out of what sells

Every sale takes stock off the count straight away, and low stock alerts go to the branch that needs the reorder. You see what is running down while there is still time to buy more.

Returns that keep the stock honest

Return a whole line or part of one, refunded from what the customer actually paid. Goods that come back unusable are written off instead of quietly returning to the shelf.

  • Every return and write-off is logged with who did it and why

Every counter accounted for

Each cashier counts their own drawer at the end of their shift, so a difference points at one person rather than at the whole pharmacy. Every sale is recorded against whoever rang it.

Suppliers and what you owe

Record deliveries from each supplier, log your payments and see a running balance. Payments settle the oldest debt first.

What it is not

UbiquePOS is point of sale and stock software. It is not a clinical or prescription system and it does not replace the records a regulator requires you to keep. Use it for what it does well: sales, stock, expiry and cash.

How to get started

  1. Upload your product list, with expiry dates where you have them.
  2. Add your staff and give each the right role.
  3. Sell, and let stock update with every sale.
  4. Review expiry and low stock alerts on your dashboard.

Frequently asked questions

Does UbiquePOS track expiry dates?

Yes. You can record an expiry date on a product, and UbiquePOS alerts you when it is getting close.

Can I write off expired stock?

Yes. Write-offs carry a reason, such as expired, damaged or theft, and are tracked separately from ordinary stock corrections.

Does it handle prescriptions or batch numbers?

No. It tracks products, quantities, prices and expiry dates, not prescriptions or batch-level records. Keep any records your regulator requires in the way you do now.

Can I run several pharmacy branches?

Yes. Each branch has its own stock and staff, and the owner sees all of them, with stock moved between branches in one step.

What if the network goes down?

Sales carry on offline and sync when the connection returns. See offline selling.
